Keri Logosso, Esq.

Keri is a 1992 graduate of the College of NJ and a 1999 graduate of Seton Hall Law School. Upon graduation, Keri completed a two year Equal Justice Works Fellowship at the Association for Children of NJ where she performed welfare outreach and advocacy. Keri went on to work in the private sector as a litigation associate at Lowenstein Sandler and then clerked for U.S. Magistrate Judge Patty Schwartz. In 2003, she became a founding staff member of the Office of the Child Advocate where she served as Director of Children’s Health. Keri left the Office in January 2006 to become Governor Corzine’s Health Policy Advisor.

As Health Policy Advisor to the Governor, Keri worked on health policy matters such as access to quality health care, the elimination of waste, fraud, and abuse within the healthcare delivery system, mental health, developmental disabilities, and senior issues. She served as the Governor’s policy liaison to the Department of Health and Senior Services and the Department of Human Services and advised the Office of the Treasurer and the Office of Management and Budget on health policy as it related to the state budget. In addition, Keri worked with interest groups, industry stakeholders, and the Governor’s Press Office to address policy concerns and to strategize around the implementation of the Governor’s health policy priorities.

Keri left the Governor’s Office in December 2008 to return to her roots advocating for children and families. From December 2007 – September 2008, she served as Director of the Office of Child Health Services within the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, where her primary responsibility was developing a system of healthcare for children in foster care.

Outside of the office, Keri is an active alumnus of Leadership New Jersey (2007 Fellow), member of the Essex County Bar Association, and a Board Member and volunteer with Jersey Cares Organization, a Newark based non-profit that promotes volunteerism and community involvement.

Francine Raguso holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Montclair State University. Francine has been serving as our Program Coordinator and Child Interview Specialist here at Wynona’s House since July 2008 acting as an advocate for the child victim and non-offending family members working in conjunction with the Victim Witness Advocate, Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Newark Beth Israel Regional Diagnostic & Treatment Center and Division of Youth and Family Services.

 

Francine started her career serving as an Outreach Caseworker, managing a caseload of multi-problem families and empowered parents to advocate for themselves and their children. She then became the Child Placement Review Board Coordinator, facilitating permanency efforts for abused and neglected children. Before coming to Wynona’s House, Francine worked for 7 years as the Child Interview Specialist at the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Child Advocacy Center.


She is certified in Finding Words New Jersey and conducts Forensic Interviews of sexually and physically abused children. Francine joined Finding Words, as a faculty member in 2003 in which she trains other professionals in the state of New Jersey in child interviewing. Francine has conducted approximately a thousand forensic interviews as well as testified in criminal, juvenile and family court. Francine is extensively trained in many areas of Child Maltreatment and Prevention and has held numerous presentations in Essex County, New Jersey educating Child Abuse Professionals. She also runs a Multi Disciplinary Team Meeting as well as advises students interning at Wynona’s House.


Lisa Ann Fonseca

Lisa Ann Fonseca holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. She has numerous certifications in different levels of Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment as well as extensive training in Multidisciplinary Responses to the Prevention and Response to Sexual Abuse, Community Crisis Responses and Intervention.

For the past ten years, Lisa has been a Victim-Witness Advocate with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in Newark. In that capacity Lisa has acted as a liaison between families and law enforcement agencies, courts, and social services agencies. In October 2006, Lisa joined the staff of Wynona's House as the MDT Coordinator, using her experiences as a Victim-Witness Advocate to the Multi-Disciplinary Team. She was awarded the April 2006 Essex County Teamwork Award and in 2009 served as Chair of the New Jersey’s Multidisciplinary Team Coordinator’s Association. Lisa is a long term resident on Newark, NJ.

Tonya Bewley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from Pine Manor College in Massachusetts. She started out as a volunteer here at Wynona’s House then accepting a position as our Program Assistant and Resource Development Specialist since June of 2008. Tonya is involved in many aspects of Wynona’s House including researching, coordinating and submitting grants. She also coordinates numerous events and volunteer efforts as well as handles the donations that come into the center.

 

Before coming to Wynona’s House, Tonya worked with the non-profit agency Excellent Education for Everyone established here in Newark, New Jersey. Tonya advocated for parents through a Supplemental Education Service program that gave available resources for school testing opportunities in order to ensure the child’s developmental abilities were considered and acknowledged. She provided families with information about tutoring opportunities, before and after-school programs and informed parents on better educational opportunities for their children.

 

Tonya has also worked in the Development and Alumnae Relations Offices at her alma mater. While attending Pine Manor College she researched and coordinated grants, as well as handled prospective donors. She was also in charge of mentoring programs in which she worked toward gaining 12 ½ % new memberships. Tonya is a lifelong resident of East Orange, New Jersey.

Nicole Slavik has recently joined the Wynona’s House staff this past January serving as our Program Assistant. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family Services as well as a certificate in Child Advocacy from Montclair State University. Nicole is a native of Austria and has been a resident of Montclair, New Jersey for the past 5 years.
