Forensic Interviews
Information collection that is non-leading, developmentally appropriate and non-duplicative.
Pediatric examinations and forensic evidence collection with state-of-the-art equipment designed to inform and reassure children about their physical condition.
Assessment of current levels of child and family functioning, estimates of short and long-term risk of harm, and formulation of a treatment plan for each child.
Specialized mental health services provided to help stabilize the child and their family members so that the healing process can begin.
Support and services for child victims and non-offending family members, including workshops, referrals, and resources.
Routine team discussion and information sharing between professionals regarding the investigation, case status and services needed by the child and his/her family.
An electronic system for monitoring case progress and tracking case outcomes.
Community Awareness Programs
Presentations to community groups on issues related to child abuse and family violence, including prevention and treatment.
Regular training for law enforcement, child protective service workers and medical/mental health staff on child abuse issues.
