Wynona’s House seeks volunteers in the community who can assist us as we go about our work. We will make every attempt to make your experience here pleasant and meaningful. If you have a particular talent, area of expertise, avenue you wish to gain experience in, or if you want to contribute your time in a specific manner, please let us know. We are flexible and mindful of the great resource that is the volunteer’s time and commitment. All volunteers will be trained and supervised.
We have several volunteer opportunities at Wynona’s House.
Greeter/waiting room staff:
- Greet families as they arrive.
- Sit with children and families while they wait for services.
- Assist families with resource room supplies.
Fundraising Assistant :
Assist development staff in a variety of tasks, including:
- Follow - up phone calls.
- Letters of inquiry.
- Research on the web and mail merge.
- Direct mail campaign and information gathering.
- Collating directory of prospects and generating an invitee list.
Special Event Planner:
Assist development staff in special event management and coordination. Tasks include:
- Preparing invitations for mailing.
- Tracking responses, sourcing sponsors, and generating time line.
- Coordinating event details.
- Organizing marketing materials.
- Generating Thank - you letters, etc.
Administrative Assistant:
Assist staff in:
- Typing, filing, and answering phones.
- Organizing folders and preparing envelopes for mailings.
- Copying, faxing, and other routine office tasks.
